The St. Louis Cardinals clinched a the second NL wild card last night with their 17th straight win, which is incredible and has everyone in St. Louis feeling pretty happy this morning.
You know who’s not feeling happy this morning, though? The Cincinnati Reds and their fans because the Cardinals’ flew past the Reds during their historic run and put an end to the Reds’ slim playoff hopes.
The Reds broadcast made the announcement during last night’s Reds-White Sox game and it was just the saddest announcement ever… and it was immediately followed by a sad end to an inning.
