After the 2023 NFL Draft, the Steelers are slowly becoming the Wisconsin Badgers of the NFL. Pittsburgh now has six active players on their roster from the Badger program.
More specifically, the Steelers defense is trying to replicate the Badger defense. Five of the six players from Wisconsin who have made their way to Pittsburgh are defensive players, including each of their 2023 draft picks out of Madison. Their best defensive player and arguably the best defensive player in the league is former Wisconsin Badger star T.J. Watt.
