The Orioles shared an absolutely mesmerizing slow-motion video of a knuckleball

Can’t stop watching.

Unless you’re a huge Baltimore Orioles fan, odds are that you don’t know much about pitcher Mickey Jannis. The 33-year-old has spent his entire career bouncing between independent ball and the minor leagues.

But his status with the team has little to do with the absolutely incredible footage that Jannis helped provide over the weekend.

Jannis is a knuckleball pitcher, which is a rarity in today’s game with Steven Wright being the most recent knuckleball pitcher on a big-league roster (and he’s been a free agent since 2019). Still, we’re glad that Jannis was able to showcase his knuckler against the Tiger because the Orioles video team was all over it.

Look at this slow-motion video of Jannis’ knuckleball:

It doesn’t even look real.

I’m not sure what was more impressive: the pitch or the camerawork. Either way, I can’t stop watching.

Jannis pitched one inning on Saturday and gave up one run on two hits. That pitch was incredible, though.
