The NFL offseason has begun and now we can all root for absolute QB chaos

Let’s get nuts, NFL!

The 2021 NFL season is over, the Los Angeles Rams are the champs, and now there’s nothing to enjoy in life because football is once again over for a long time, right?

Wrong!

There’s a lot to look forward this offseason because boy could there could be a lot of drama. And chaos. And I’m rooting for all of it.

I’m talking, of course, about the many QBs that could be on the move this offseason.

The two biggest names on that list would instantly make their new team contenders – Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson.

Chances are both of those stars will be starting for their current teams when the 2022 season kicks off next September.

BUT WHAT IF THEY’RE NOT!?

Rodgers had a chaotic/dramatic offseason last year in which he kept Packers fans worrying for months about whether or not the MVP would return to Lambeau for another season. He wasn’t happy with upper management and skipped out on team activities until the day it was time to report. He then went out and had another MVP season before losing to the 49ers at home in the playoffs.

We’ve heard reports that the Packers are going to try to do everything they can to come up with a financial package that works for Rodgers and keeps him at Lambeau for a few more years, which is good news for Packers fans.

That’s all well and good for the fine people of Green Bay but I’m not from there and don’t have any emotions tied to the team so I’d be all for Rodgers heading somewhere new just because of what it would do for the league and his new team.

Imagine if he joined a team like the Steelers, who have all the pieces in place (besides the QB piece) to be a serious contender?

Of what if he pulled a Peyton Manning and went to Denver to try to win a championship with the Broncos?

Or what if he went to the 49ers, who came a few plays away from going to Super Bowl 56?

Of what if he went to Tampa Bay and tried to win a Lombardi Trophy with Tom Brady’s former teammates?

Speaking of Brady, what if he gets antsy in the summer and decides to come back to the NFL, which wouldn’t surprise me at. My dream world has Rodgers going to the Bucs and… Brady going to the Packers. That would be the ultimate level of NFL QB chaos and I need that stuff in my veins! Let’s gooooooooooo!

Sorry, I lost my mind there a little bit.

Let’s now get to Russell Wilson. Like Rodgers, he wasn’t all that pleased with the Seahawks before last season but unlike Rodgers, Wilson had to suffer through a brutal 2021 season in Seattle and it wouldn’t be a shock to anyone if he had a new home in 2022.

Wilson would make the Steelers and Broncos contenders and he’d also look good taking over for Brady in Tampa. The 33-year-old has a ton of game left in his career and he’d be a gigantic get for any team that would be able to pull off a trade for him.

Come on, NFL. Let’s get nuts this offseason.

Quick hits: Mic’d up McVay calls his shot… Kyler Murray speaks out… Stafford’s classy message to Detroit fans… And more.

– Sean McVay was mic’d up at the Super Bowl and he totally called what would happen on the play that clinched the Lombardi Trophy for his team.

– Matthew Stafford had a classy message for Lions fans after his Super Bowl win.

– Kyler Murray responded to the crazy reports that have been going around about him.

– Michelle Martinelli’s take on the great Sopranos Super Bowl ad is so good.
