If you’re wondering if the 2020 NFL draft that will be held virtually will be as chaotic and glitch-filled as your Zoom or Google Hangouts calls are during isolation and quarantine, the answer is: the mock draft that was held on Monday sounded like a disaster.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, there was already a “technical glitch” with the very first pick in the draft, one that belonged to the Cincinnati Bengals. And Schefter’s colleague Dianna Russini later added “bandwith” was a problem, causing “communication issues.”
Of course, this is an unprecedented situation. We’ve never had a virtual draft like this before, so holding a mock procedure can hopefully smooth out any and all kinks before Thursday:
I’m texting with multiple coaches and GM’s who are on this mock draft call and everybody is saying the same thing which is band width is a problem. There are many communication issues.

Text from a GM during this mock draft “there are early communication issues because 32 of us GMs are on conference call and we didn’t hit mute. Sounds awful”

Text from a participant on the NFL’s mock draft that started at 1 pm EST. “Mock draft today already technical glitch w Cincinnatis 1st pick!!! Brutal.”

Looks like there are some early bugs that need to be addressed for @NFL mock draft. "Hard to know whether some of the issues are on our (teams) end or league end" a source texted me a little while ago.

There was some hope, however:
"After the start, its running smoothly. Its quiet actually on the call"

Hopefully, it all gets sorted out. Otherwise, it’s going to be quite a memorable draft for the wrong reasons.
