The Myrtle Beach Pelicans are selling a ‘Beer Bat’ at games and baseball fans are in love

We need a “Beer Bat” in our lives.

There’s nothing better than a cold beer at a baseball game, right? How about cold beer in a baseball bat glass at a baseball game? You’d be delighted to know that it does exist, and the Myrtle Beach Pelicans are selling them at their minor league games this season!

On Saturday, baseball fans were ecstatic to learn that the Pelicans were selling these “Beer Bats” after Twitter user Bryan Kurp posted about them as he was taking in a minor league game from Myrtle Beach.

The “Beer Bat” is exactly what it sounds like, as it’s a beer glass (likely made of plastic) shaped like a two-foot tall baseball bat. And… it’s glorious.

Baseball fans flocked to Kurp’s tweet to marvel at the “Beer Bat” on Sunday, jealous that the Pelicans were selling it and hopeful that they too could snag what seemed to be a precious commodity.

While the “Beer Bats” may not be $1 each — they’re $15 according to the Pelicans on Twitter — it didn’t stop fans from asking the Myrtle Beach team social accounts on where to snag one.

The Pelicans themselves on Twitter, of course, did not squander their chance to take in their moment in the sun with baseball fans, posting pictures and video of the beloved chalice on social media. And though the “Beer Bats” are an in-game purchase only, the Pelicans Twitter set up a Venmo for the team’s general manager Ryan Moore where fans could donate $25 to have him drink one on their behalf before the team sends the fan the game-used bat.

Even though you can’t purchase one of these bad boys for yourself from the Pelicans, I did dig up the official “Beer Bat” website (which does exist), where you can backorder one — on sale! — for $14.99. Or you can get a custom branding with a minimum of a 500 unit purchase with discount pricing.

Not a bad deal, all things considered! But props to the Pelicans and Kurp for bringing this incredible beer glass to our attention.
