The Detroit Lions locked up the final unsigned pick from their draft class of 2023 on Tuesday. Second-round defensive back Brian Branch signed his rookie contract upon arrival in Detroit for the team’s training camp.

Branch signed a day after No. 12 overall pick, RB Jahmyr Gibbs inked his contract. The signings complete all the pending contracts for Detroit’s rookies. Training camp begins on Wednesday for the rookies, with the veterans coming shortly thereafter.

Branch is expected to play in the slot as well as some strong safety in Detroit, echoing the variety of roles he played collegiately at Alabama. He was the No. 45 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft.

Contract details were not immediately made available, but the No. 45 pick is slotted to earn $8.021 million over four years, including a $2.833 million signing bonus, per Spotrac.
