On Sunday, the Rams took care of the Giants by a 17-9 score, moving their record to 3-1 on the season, while Bug Blue fell to 0-4. One of the best plays in this game was the hit-stick tackle Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey put on Giants receiver Golden Tate. It was one of the better tackles you’ll see from a cornerback this season.

But it was what happened right when the game ended that everybody will remember. Several Rams and Giants players got into a fracas, which, exacerbated by their maskless status, should be good for a lot of heavy fines from the league office next week.

Was Tate annoyed by Ramsey’s perfect tackle? Not exactly. From Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post on Thursday (H/T to ESPN’s Jenna Laine):
Ramsey is the father of two of Tate’s young nieces, but he reportedly ended a long-term relationship with Tate’s sister during her pregnancy last summer to date a Las Vegas dancer. Breanna Tate — a former track-and-field standout at the University of Mississippi — gave birth in September 2019, shortly before Ramsey was traded from the Jaguars to the Rams.
Ramsey’s social media photo with his new girlfriend in October 2019 brought the spat to social media. A fan replied, suggesting the Giants star should “have words” with Ramsey and Tate said, “He know he gonna have to see me.”
Tate later told The Post, “I’m not happy at all with the disrespect that he’s shown towards my sister, and the things he’s done in the past, but I don’t really want to go too much into it.”
Eventually, officials were able to restore order, though Ramsey wasn’t done with the drama.
Jalen Ramsey has been walking up and down the SoFi Stadium field in full uniform, intermittently talking to somebody on his phone, since shortly after the fight was broken up and the teams left the field.
