The Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed reveal trailer is pure nostalgia

Bustin’ makes (everyone aside from ghosts) feel good.

IllFonic, the studio behind Predator: Hunting Grounds and Friday the 13th: The Game, is about to make every 1980s kid’s day.

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is a 4v1 asymmetrical multiplayer title where four players are the titular ghostbusters, and another is a mischievous spirit. Like Dead By Daylight only with, you know, proton packs and Ray Stantz (Dan Aykroyd) being a weirdo. Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson) is back too, which isn’t surprising since he’s been teasing the game for several months.

The reveal trailer for Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is rife with all the wonderful callbacks fans expect from projects like this, so check it out below.

GLHF’s Dave Aubrey had an opportunity to look at Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed and came away reasonably impressed. Ironically, it sounds as though being the ghost is more challenging here than in other asymmetrical horror games.

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is coming out this fall for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Epic Games Store. It doesn’t matter which platform you prefer, though, as multiplayer is cross-platform!
