Ah, win probability charts.
They give us such hope or such despair during games. And we’ve seen some ones in which teams were thisclose to 100 percent — as in, actually winning — before miracles sent the line on the chart diving the other way.
Among them: the Dolphins’ miracle win in 2018, the Warriors blowing a 31-point lead, the Niners’ Super Bowl loss to the Chiefs and so many more.
Now, there’s the one from the Atlanta Falcons blowing a 19-point lead to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, which included an awful handling of an onside kick.
Look away, Falcons fans. This isn’t pretty.
The Atlanta Falcons had a 99.9% win probability with 2:52 left in the game.
The Dallas Cowboys won on a last second field goal.
The last time Atlanta blew a 99%+ win probability was the Super Bowl, when they had a 99.3% win probability.

Hey, at least it wasn’t the win probability chart from that Super Bowl.
