The experts weigh in on the Texas A&M vs McNeese matchup in Week 2

Texas A&M is unsurprisingly the overwhelming favorite in their Week 2 matchup against McNeese

With the Notre Dame loss in the rearview mirror, Texas A&M has spent the week preparing for what should be a “tune-up” game for the Aggies when they host McNeese at Kyle Field this weekend.

This is exactly what Mike Elko and his team need to work out some kinks while still playing against decent competition. McNeese is a solid rushing team, and they have an All-American linebacker on the defensive side of the ball. Unlike last week, everyone is practically picking the Aggies to win by multiple touchdowns for their first win of the season.

However, it is football, and anything can happen on any given Saturday, but I strongly believe this team is built differently under Elko’s leadership. I’d be surprised if, at the end of the game, no matter the score, the offense will be cleaner heading into A&M’s first SEC road matchup against Florida the week after.

Here is who the experts are picking to come out victorious in this week’s matchup:

Steven Lassan / Athlon Sports

Pete Fiutak / CFN

Jay Arnold / GoodBullHunting

As you can see, Texas A&M is the easy favorite, and after coming off a loss, there is less of a chance that the Aggies will overlook a team looking to spoil their Saturday morning.
