The experts weigh in on the Texas A&M vs Auburn matchup in Week 13

Texas A&M is in a must win situation on the road when the face the Auburn Tigers

The No. 15 Texas A&M Aggies (8-2, 5-1 SEC) will travel to face the Auburn Tigers (4-6, 1-5 SEC) at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Alabama. Texas A&M must win out for a shot at an SEC title and college football playoff spot.

It’s crunch time in college football, and there can be no missteps, as a loss now can drop any team out of the playoff conversation.

While Auburn is only playing for potential bowl eligibility over the next two weeks, protecting the home field and defeating a ranked team is obviously the main goal. On paper, the teams do not look that different, but A&M has done a better job getting points when in scoring position.

This top 15-ranked Aggie team is only a slight favorite because of its lack of explosiveness on offense, especially in the passing game, after star running back Le’Veon Moss’s season-ending injury. The Aggies must stay ahead and put pressure on the Tigers to pass the ball, giving the A&M elite defensive line a chance to get after the quarterback.
