The Cowboys made news Sunday morning when reporters noticed something different along the sidelines at FedEx Field – Dallas brought its own benches for their NFC East showdown with the Washington Football Team.
For real, the Cowboys really did bring their own benches to the game, which is something we’ve never seen a NFL team do before.
This was big news because it’s Jerry Jones and the Cowboys, who are never shy about grabbing some spotlight. Dallas fans instantly thought it was a power move made by the team to send a message to their rivals.
The reality of the situation, though, is just that FedEx Field stinks and the Cowboys made a smart call:
Here's the deal on the Cowboys' benches today: Cowboys got word from Seattle that the hotseat benches provided for them at FedEx Field kept going out during the game. Cowboys partnered with company in Cleveland that shipped them to FedEx Field so wouldn't be an issue today.
