The G League Ignite will tip off their fourth season as a developmental program on Nov. 10 with a full-season schedule in their second year in Henderson, Nevada.
The stated goal of the Ignite is to provide development opportunities for the top prospects looking to play professionally. The team offers the players a platform to showcase their skills in front of scouts and executives against G League competition.
The program has helped produce several first-round picks, including Jalen Green, Scoot Henderson, Jonathan Kuminga, Dyson Daniels and MarJon Beauchamp. The team is expected to have players drafted next year with several prospects are on the roster.
The Ignite will host a pair of preseason games against the Perth Wildcats of the National Basketball League on Sept. 6 and Sept. 8. The two contests will air on NBA TV and feature projected first-round picks, including Alex Sarr of the Wildcats.
The roster for the Ignite was finalized on Aug. 28 ahead of the preseason opener against the Wildcats, featuring several prospects and established veterans.
