The Coca-Cola 600 weather forecast looks very questionable

The Coca-Cola 600 weather forecast looks very questionable. Find out why NASCAR could face a delay or postponement on Sunday night!

The Coca-Cola 600 weather forecast suggests a rain delay or postponement is possible on Sunday night. According to Weather.com, the weather forecast for Charlotte Motor Speedway calls for a 37% chance of late-night showers or thunderstorms. With 600 miles on tap for NASCAR, the sport can only wait so long for the weather to pass through Charlotte.

NASCAR doesn’t want to race incredibly late into the night, and with the last two Coca-Cola 600 events taking five hours, a start later than 8-9:00 p.m. ET may not be feasible. This means NASCAR has a small window from delaying the start to postponing the entire race to Monday. Meanwhile, the Indianapolis 500 weather forecast could also postpone the race to Monday.

Kyle Larson is supposed to attempt “The Double” on Sunday, May 26, but could the weather move both events to Monday? It will be a crazy waiting game on Sunday as Larson will start the day in Indianapolis. The weather forecast looks better in Charlotte, but hopefully, both events can run on Sunday with no delay or postponement.
