The case for the Vikings to trade back in the NFL draft

Here is why the Minnesota Vikings should trade back in the 2021 NFL draft.

Minnesota had a strange 2020 season.

Despite starting 1-5, the Vikings ended up re-entering the playoff conversation after three consecutive division wins. The team wasn’t able to clinch a postseason berth, though. Minnesota ended up finishing 7-9.

From the perspective of the NFL draft, a 7-9 record can be tough. The Vikings do not have one of the highest picks and they’re not like the Buccaneers or Chiefs — those teams have the bright side of having competed for a Super Bowl.

With the Vikings’ current draft position, it makes sense at this point for the team to try and trade back, especially if they get a good offer. Here are the points to consider:
