The case for and against Jayden Daniels as LSU’s starting quarterback

Daniels enters a crowded quarterback room in LSU. Will he be able to stand out among that group this offseason?

My take

I lean closer to believing in Daniels than not. I think the circumstances at Arizona State were hardly ideal and with future NFL receiver Brandon Aiyuk and some stability in 2019, Daniels had his best season.

Since 2010, LSU has gotten its best quarterback play from transfers like Zach Mettenberger, Danny Etling and, of course, Joe Burrow.

I think Daniels adds his name to that list in some capacity, giving LSU competent quarterback play with a chance to be a lot more.
