Vaughn Grissom, have yourself a night!
On Wednesday, the Atlanta Braves were facing off against the Boston Red Sox with their No. 1 prospect Grissom in tow for his first ever MLB start. Thanks to a rash of injuries, the Braves called up Grissom to help out in the infield as the team looks to get healthy amid the NL East race.
And Grissom more than helped the Braves out on just the third at bat of his career. At the top of the seventh with one on and one out, Grissom absolutely smoked a ball out of Fenway for his first ever home run on his first ever MLB hit!
Seriously, this home run is an absolute all-timer.

My god. The swing! The bat flip! It’s just so perfect. It’s going to be hard to top that home run for the rest of Grissom’s career, honestly.
And still, the best part of Grissom’s incredible home run was his Braves’ teammates’ reactions to it. After the home run landed somewhere outside of Fenway, Grissom and his teammates gathered around an iPad to watch the highlight of the spectacular moment.
Wholesome content.

That’s as wholesome of a moment as it gets, right there!
