The Boston Celtics should ‘roll through’ first round matchup with Brooklyn Nets: Chris Forsberg

Not everyone is worried about facing Brooklyn in the first round.

There has been a general sense in some quarters of the wider Boston Celtics media sphere that perhaps the storied franchise might have been better off having gamed the system a bit to ensure a less potentially lethal first-round opponent than superstar forward Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets.

But, not everyone agrees — in fact, some fairly prominent members of the Boston media are saying exactly the opposite. Could it be that drawing the Nets in the first round was actually exactly the tone this team needs to be setting if it truly wants a shot at hanging Banner 18 this summer?

NBC Sports Boston’s Chris Forsberg was recently to be heard preaching this gospel in a guest appearance on the CLNS Media “Celtics Beat” podcast, talking all things Boston postseason runs with hosts Adam Kaufman and Evan Valenti.

Check out the clip embedded above to get their feeling on the Celtics’ playoff outlook, and whether Brooklyn is an idea — or nightmare — first-round opponent.
