The Boston Celtics barely beat and Embiid-less, Maxey-less Philadelphia 76ers

The Celtics’ lackluster play raises concerns, especially their defensive lapses and turnovers.

The Boston Celtics narrowly defeated the Joel Embiid-less and Tyrese Maxey-less Philadelphia 76ers in a game that they should have won by a larger margin. Despite the absence of two key players, the 76ers put up a strong fight, with Patrick Beverly leading the charge for Philadelphia. The Celtics struggled defensively, but managed to secure a 125-119 victory, the game was much closer than expected.

Stars Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum had subpar offensive outings, with Tatum also getting ejected. Al Horford stood out with a strong showing against his former team, contributing 20 points and two key blocks. Despite the win, the Celtics’ lackluster play raises concerns, especially their defensive lapses and turnovers.

The hosts of the CLNS Media “How Bout Them Celtics!” podcast weighed in on the near-loss on their most recent episode.
