The Blazers were stuck on a plane so Damian Lillard made a fire new rap song and music video

This must have been great for team bonding.

Damian Lillard is an incredibly skilled human being with top-tier talents both on and off the basketball court.

He proved as much yet again when his Portland Trail Blazers were “stuck on the plane for 7 hours” on Wednesday evening. Lillard, who is famous for connecting on some of the most logic-defying 3-pointers you will ever see in the NBA, has also released four studio albums as a rapper.

Lillard used the additional time stuck on a plane to write a new rap song, which he released via Instagram. (WARNING: NSFW language ahead.)

The guard raps about every day struggles, like how he may need to buy a new outfit for the following day if his bag is stuck on the plane.

But he also writes about Portland big man Drew Eubanks setting a pick before he pulls up from 40 feet — which is something that almost no one on the planet except Lillard can relate to.

Some of the best lyrics included “had to go and grab Mattise up off the Sixers” about trading for Thybulle and “shooters in the locker room like we the Wizards” about the infamous incident between Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Crittenton in 2009.

Considering the context of how this got made, it is actually pretty good!
