On the heels of a cancelation of a fall season from the Big Ten and Pac-12, the Big 12 Conference is moving forward.
Word throughout Tuesday was that the members of the conference were split on a decision to cancel the fall season and move to the spring. Although a decision hasn’t been made entirely on a fall season, a report from SoonerScoop.com’s Carey Murdock and Eddie Radosevich says the conference is moving forward for now and toward a season.
Sources telling SoonerScoop's @CareyAMurdock and @Eddie_Rado Big 12 presidents will allow conference to move forward toward a season and a revised Big 12 schedule will be released after approval from AD's during tonight's meetings.

Per the report, the Big 12 will also release the conferences schedule for the fall.
The SEC and ACC are banking on the Big 12 to play a fall season in order to not feel pressure to move things to the spring. Each conference released a statement minutes prior to the Big 12’s meeting beginning at 5 p.m. CT Tuesday night.
Oklahoma paused practice on Saturday night due to the uncertainty of a season. The Sooners plan was to resume practice on Friday and undergo another round of COVID-19 testing prior to the restart. Players were allowed to go home if they wanted to.
Oklahoma’s first game against Missouri State has been pushed back to a later date. It is expected to be sometime in early Sept.
