Of course, when we say “Day 1 of free agency,” we of course know that Monday is not the first day of free agency. Monday signifies only the first day of the two-day “legal tampering period,” and we all know that no NFL teams are talking with the representatives of impending free agents before any deals are done. Nonetheless, teams, agents, and players were able to agree to terms on a number of major deals in which some superstars switched teams. We’ll never quite figure out how that happens so quickly!
