On the heels of NCAA allegations of illegal sign stealing and a year after rival MSU accosted two Wolverines in the Michigan Stadium tunnel, the maize and blue went into Spartan Stadium and made a statement, shutting out Michigan State while piling on 49 points. Michigan called off the dogs in the second half, scoring only once after J.J. McCarthy left the game.
