Auburn dropped a tough game to the Cal Golden Bears on Saturday, 21-14.
Despite scoring the first touchdown of the game, Auburn allowed Cal to score 21 unanswered points.
Auburn’s comeback effort began with 6:06 remaining in the game when quarterback [autotag]Payton Thorne[/autotag] ran two yards into the end zone to cut Cal’s lead to 21-14. The effort would be short-lived. Thorne threw an interception on each of the Tigers’ final two drives to solidify the California win.
Cal’s offense also picked apart Auburn’s defense by passing for 233 yards and two touchdowns with four Bears receivers catching every pass thrown their way.
