The best moments of DeMarco Murray’s Oklahoma playing career

Oklahoma brought back one of its own in DeMarco Murray to coach running backs. Here are his best moments in a Sooners uniform.

On Monday, Oklahoma announced the return of one of its stars to Norman, Oklahoma.

Former running back DeMarco Murray moved from the playing field to the sideline as an assistant coach prior to the 2019 season as the running backs coach at Arizona. After the Sooners’ running backs coach opened, Murray was the first option, and Lincoln Riley brought him back to Oklahoma.

The former Sooners’ star rushed for 3,685 yards and 50 touchdowns in his illustrious four-year career at Oklahoma. Murray accounted for 5,256 total yards from scrimmage and 63 total touchdowns.

He was a star in both college and in the NFL, but Murray captured Oklahoma fans with his long strides, superman jumps on the goal line and how-did-he-do-that touchdowns.

Here are his best moments as an Oklahoma Sooner.

1. The tip-toe touchdown (2010)

They say if you make a play in OU-Texas, you are remembered forever. Murray did that for the second time in 2010 in maybe his craziest touchdown run of his Oklahoma career. He tip-toed the sideline for 10 yards on his way to a game-clinching touchdown.
