Alabama head coach Nick Saban famously erupts with frustration when the Crimson Tide aren’t playing quite as well as he’d like. Whether it’s on the sidelines or during a press conference or a post-game interview, he doesn’t always keep his cool.
And Saturday against Tennessee, he had a total meltdown after Alabama botched a punt return and lost the ball to the Volunteers.
Early in the second quarter with the Crimson Tide down, 21-10, on the road, Tennessee punted from its own 32-yard line on 4th-and-3. Simple enough. But then Alabama completely botched the punt return, and Tennessee defensive back Christian Charles recovered the ball at the Crimson Tide’s 40-yard line.

Saban absolutely lost it in the same way a toddler throws a tantrum when it doesn’t get the impulse-purchase candy it wants in the checkout line.

To make matters worse for Alabama, Tennessee capitalized off the bad punt return turnover and scored a touchdown on its next possession.
