Seattle Seahawks
Not that we expect Russell Wilson to miss a game anytime soon — he hasn’t done so in his NFL career despite his propensity for running the ball and his historically poor offensive lines — but it’d be nice for the Seahawks to have a Plan B should Wilson start to meet mortality (he’ll turn 32 in November). Through Wilson’s tenure, Seattle has generally preferred mobile backups, so they don’t have to change their system too much. While it’s not a perfect playbook fit in that Seattle doesn’t lead with Erhardt-Perkins principles, Seattle’s run-balanced offense with heavy play action and shot plays downfield off play action would be an excellent general fit for Newton’s skill set.
