The Washington Commanders [1-4] have seemingly been underdogs all season. At 1-4, it seems appropriate. Washington’s only win came in Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Commanders have now lost four consecutive games.
The Commanders came close to ending that losing streak Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, but quarterback Carson Wentz’s final pass was intercepted at the goal line, and the Titans preserved a four-point victory.
It’s a short week for Washington as the Commanders travel to Chicago to face the Bears [2-3]. Could Washington actually be favored against the Bears?
Of course not. According to Tipico Sportsbook, the Bears opened as a 0.5-point favorite over the Commanders. The short week has also been hard on Washington in regard to injuries. On Tuesday, the Commanders had five players miss practice and five others limited in practice.
