Final Fantasy 14 has been up and running online for nearly a decade, more than that if you’re counting the failed 1.0 version that released in 2010. For a long-running MMORPG such as this, and an incredibly popular Final Fantasy game to boot, it’s no surprise there are hundreds upon hundreds of songs across this game’s history.
In fact, Final Fantasy 14 holds the Guinness World Record for the most original pieces of music in a video game, and that was set back in 2017! Music is a huge part of Final Fantasy 14 and a big reason why the game is so beloved by fans across the world. The orchestrations of current lead composer Masayoshi Soken, alongside legendary series composers Nobuo Uematsu, Naoshi Mizuta and countless others have brought the world of Eorzea — and beyond! — to life since the game’s inception.
To celebrate our love for this game’s illustrious suite of music, staff writer Mary Clarke and GLHF writer Kyle Campbell sat down and ranked the 30 best songs from Final Fantasy 14.
