Thanksgiving NFL Throwback: Watch Randy Moss torch the Cowboys in 1998

Randy Moss was unstoppable.

It’s Thanksgiving Day, and while Thursday’s slate of NFL games between sub-.500 teams isn’t exactly must-watch TV, it’s never a bad time to look back at one of the most electrifying Thanksgiving Day performances in league history.

On November 26th, 1998, Minnesota Vikings rookie wide receiver Randy Moss made the Cowboys’ defense look like… well, the 2020 Cowboys defense. Moss opened the game with a 51-yard touchdown bomb from Randall Cunningham on a flea flicker – one of his three 50+ yard touchdowns on the day.

Moss finished the game with three receptions, 163 yards and three touchdowns, for the first 3-TD game of his NFL career. (He would go on to catch three touchdowns the very next week against the Bears.)
