Texas State DL Terry Webb schedules visit to Auburn

Webb has logged 39 tackles and 3.5 sacks in two seasons at Texas State.

Auburn aims to beef up its defensive line by hosting an experienced piece from the Sun Belt Conference.

[autotag]Terry Webb[/autotag], who started 22 games for the Texas State Bobcats over the last two seasons, has scheduled a visit to Auburn. According to a report by Jeffrey Lee of Auburn Live, Webb’s Auburn visit will occur from Jan. 5-6.

Webb signed with Texas State after spending two seasons at Kilgore College in Texas. As a Bobcat, Webb recorded 39 tackles with 3.5 sacks and a pass deflection. He was Texas State’s fourth-highest-graded defender last season according to Pro Football Focus with a season-grade of 79.0. He graded above 75.0 in two categories in 2024: run defense and pass rush.

Breaking down his strengths further, Webb made 12 tackles last season, missing just two tackles. As a pass rusher, Webb created 20 pressures with 14 quarterback hurries. His 79.7 pass rush grade was the second-highest among Texas State defenders that saw consistent play time.

Auburn’s defensive front will be one of the strongest units in the SEC heading into 2025. Players such as Keldric Faulk, Malik Blocton, Keyron Crawford, and Amaris Williams return to Auburn’s defensive front while Jared Smith, Malik Autry, Jourdin Crawford, Antonio Coleman, and Darion Smith will join the unit from the 2025 recruiting class.

Adding a player like Webb could benefit Auburn’s defensive line by adding experience to an already strong unit, and aid the development of the talented freshman pool that is about to join the program.
