In the least shocking news of the day, month, or even year, Texas Longhorns running back [autotag]Bijan Robinson[/autotag] has declared for the 2023 NFL draft.
The former five-star signee finished his Texas career fourth in school history with 3,410 yards. He is behind other Texas legends Ricky Williams, Cedric Benson, and Earl Campbell. His 41 total touchdowns tied Campbell for third in school history and just behind Williams (75) and Benson (67).
Robinson is viewed as the No. 1 running back of the 2023 class and for good reason. Per PFF stats, the Arizona native finished with 104 missed tackles forced and 1,017 yards after contact.
The latest trends for running backs show they aren’t valued as first-round picks more often than not but Robinson has proved to be a three-down back. He can block, run, and is one of the best receivers out of the backfield. Not just a receiving running back, he can play receiver with some of the best of them.
He leaves Texas in good hands with the running backs behind him including former Alabama transfer Keilan Robinson.
