Joey Gallo took a tumble during the Texas Rangers’ win over the New York Yankees on Monday night, and his team isn’t letting him forget about it anytime soon.
In the bottom of the third of the Rangers’ 5-2 victory — which snapped their six-game losing streak — the Texas centerfielder took off for first base on a wild pitch, and it looked like Gallo was ready to take on second as well.
Instead of picking up another base, Gallo tripped and nearly face-planted just past the first base bag before hurriedly crawling back. Luckily, Rangers manager Chris Woodward said Gallo was not injured, aside from “maybe a bruised ego,” the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.
But someone or some people in the Rangers organization capitalized on this opportunity to roast Gallo for the fall and set up a faux crime scene exactly where this happened at Globe Life Field.

Really well done by the Rangers, and all Gallo could say in response was: “Y’all wrong for this”.

After this gaffe, at least Gallo is able to laugh at himself.
