Texas men’s basketball stays put in latest Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll

After surviving against Iowa State and a comeback against West Virginia, Texas men’s basketball remain the No. 4 team in the coaches poll.

The latest Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll was released on Monday.

The Longhorns are once again listed at No. 4 in the poll behind Gonzaga, Baylor and Villanova. The latter being the only team to best Shaka Smart’s squad through 11 games.

Texas has had close calls recently with West Virginia and Iowa State, but they’re now 4-0 in Big 12 play.

The Mountaineers moved up one spot despite dropping a heartbreaker to the Longhorns over the weekend. West Virginia comes in at No. 14, while Texas Tech checks in at No. 15. That gives the Big 12 five teams in the top 15. Baylor remains at No. 2 and Kansas is at No. 6 to round out the conference. Oklahoma State received votes but not enough to crack the top 25.
