Texas and self-inflicted wounds
The theme lately has been the implosion from within when it comes to the Texas Longhorns. It terms of penalties the Longhorns rank 60th in college football. On average they are flagged nine times a game for over 80 yards. There needs to be more discipline from that team. Against TCU, the two teams combined for 26 penalties. It is hard to win any football games when you make it harder on yourself.
Not to mention this team has hurt themselves with allowing yards after the catch at a high rate. Plus the missed tackles. They need to be more fundamentally sound and disciplined on the defensive side of the ball. Can they correct all of those issues in just a week? Seems like the process would be more difficult than that.
