Chris Ash was expected to make a difference on this defense. Through three games, it feels a lot like the previous regime. While it might not be fair to judge his performance on three games, there needs to be some sort of improvements on that side of the ball. Against a poor TCU offensive line, the Longhorns defense couldn’t make enough plays to get to the quarterback.

The Longhorns pass rush ranks as one of the lowest in all of college football. Of the 76 teams playing so far this year, their sack rate is 68th. That must improve to win this game. However, with Spencer Rattler and the weapons on offense I think it is too much for the Longhorns defense to overcome based on their efforts the last two weeks.
