Although Texas has the most loaded backfield in the country at the moment, there will be a time where they will need to rely on new faces.
That time likely being next season, as there is a belief that both Bijan Robinson and Roschon Johnson will make their way to the NFL after the season.
The Longhorns were already able to add a running back commitment after the spring game in four-star Tre Winser, and now have another opportunity after being named one of the six finalist for four-star Cameron Cook.
Cook will be deciding between Penn State, Kansas State, Oregon, TCU, California and Texas.

In his two seasons at Stony Point High School, Cook has rushed for over 1,300 yards along with nine rushing touchdowns. He is a three-sport athlete in football, track and baseball.
A world post-Bijan Robinson is not one that Texas is looking forward to, but there will eventually come a time when the star running back is no longer a Longhorn. Adding a solid back like Cook could surely ease the transition process.
