Washington
This screams a 3:30 p.m. CDT matchup on Fox with Joe Davis on the call.
Texas has not made a trip to the Pacific Northwest since 1975 and only twice ever. Expand outside of that, rarely has Texas made a trip to the west coast, most recently to USC in 2017. Head coach Steve Sarkisian and defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski at their old stomping grounds would be fascinating as well.
Outside of old connections, Texas and Washington share a ton of similarities. Both campuses are the flagship schools of their state, smack dab in the middle of a major city, and have live mascots on the field.
Seeing the Longhorns and Huskies square off in a home and home — not the Alamo Bowl — would be a refreshing sight. When you play the same nine conference teams, plus a smaller in-state school, every year unique nonconference opponents can excite fans. A mid-September trip to Seattle would be one to circle on the calendar.
Only negative? Bevo is not exactly a fan of live dog mascots.
