National signing day is less than 24 hours away as Texas’ 2021 recruiting class starts to take shape. As things stand, the Longhorns have 18 commits, headlined by five-star athlete Ja’Tavion Sanders.
Nationally, the class is No. 17 and is behind Oklahoma within the conference at No. 2. This will be the first Tom Herman class to not finish atop the Big 12 since 2017.
Despite signing day, most commits are in the thick of a deep playoff run. Players such as Jonathon Brooks will be participating in their state championship game, while 5A and 6A players within the state of Texas just wrapped up their opening rounds.
