Texas starting defensive lineman Keondre Coburn will put a hold on his professional career and return to Texas for the 2022 season.
Coburn has played in 38 games as a Longhorn, racking up 11 tackles for loss and four sacks out of his defensive tackle position. The 2022 season was arguably his best as he was named All-Big 12 honorable mention.

The Horns have now received good news from key players at all three levels of the defense. Linebacker DeMarvion Overshown and defensive back D’Shawn Jamison also plan to give it another go in the burnt orange in 2022.
Getting those key seniors back will go a long way in helping the Texas defense have a bounce-back season. Steve Sarkisian receiving buy-in from his players after a 5-7 season is a good indicator of the culture he is trying to build.
