There is a lot of hope and promise with the Texas Longhorns men’s basketball heading into the 2020-21 season. The Longhorns finished third in the conference at 9-9 in Big 12 play and 18-13 overall. The team returns everyone from last year’s team. They also added top recruit in the state Greg Brown. He was ranked the No. 9 recruit nationally by 247Sports Composite rankings.
To kick off the season the AP Poll ranked the Texas Longhorns as the No. 19 team in the country. They are the lowest ranked team out of the Big 12 Conference to make the top 25. The Big 12 has four total teams in top 15 of the rankings. Baylor, Kansas, Texas Tech and West Virginia join Texas in the rankings.
This should be a highly competitive conference race all season long. Here is a look at the entire Top 25.
