Texas is coming off of their first conference loss to Texas Tech. Matt McClung hit a game-winning shot after the Longhorns let a halftime lead slip away from them. Both of their losses this season have come at home.
Now, Kansas State will come to Austin. The Wildcats have struggled this season, having a 5-8 overall and a 1-4 Big 12 record. It has been a week since they have taken the court, coming off a 16 point loss to Oklahoma State.
For Texas, this is the type of game you cannot lose. Kansas State is not an NCAA Tournament level team and based on the latest NET Rankings, they would be a Quadrant Four loss for the Longhorns. Courtney Ramey, Matt Coleman and company must respond in a big way.
