Game two of the series was much different than any game in the series as not only did the Wildcats score first, but they kept the Longhorns shutout through five innings.
It wasn’t until Douglas Hodo III was walked with the bases loaded in the sixth that Texas got on the board.
Zach Zubia would give the Longhorns the lead in the next inning with a single to bring home Trey Faltine. Zubia and Mitchell Daly would be the only Texas players with more than one hit, as Daly went two for four and Zubia went two for three.
The final run came in the eighth with a Cam Williams double to bring the score to 3-1, in what would be the closest game of the series. Emphasis on close.
