Texas A&M’s transfer portal ranking rises after landing WR KC Concepcion

Texas A&M’s transfer portal ranking steadily rose after landing former NCState WR KC Concepcion

Texas A&M and coach Mike Elko have landed ten commitments from the transfer portal, including the latest addition, former NC State wide receiver KC Concepcion, who chose the Aggies over Alabama, North Carolina, and Colorado.

While all ten commitments will immediately impact next season, Concepcion looks like the crown jewel who will take over as the No. 1 receiving option for quarterback Marcel Reed, especially after junior wide receiver Noah Thomas entered the portal on Wednesday afternoon.

On Thursday, Texas A&M hosted two top transfer portal defensive tackles, former Washington State DL David Gusta and Iowa State transfer DL Tyler Onyedim, who also look like immediate upgrades to an interior defensive line in dire need of size and depth.

Texas A&M’s transfer portal rankings steadily rose to No. 5 in the standings, and when it’s all said and done, expect the Aggies to land more than half of the 28 players from last offseason.

Here are the Top 10 transfer portal rankings per 247Sports:

  1. LSU Tigers (14 commits)
  2. Texas Tech (17 commits)
  3. Ole Miss Rebels (15 commits)
  4. Auburn Tigers (14 commits)
  5. Texas A&M Aggies (10 commits)
  6. Mississippi State Bulldogs (18 commits)
  7. Nebraska Cornhuskers (12 commits)
  8. Florida State Seminoles (11 commits)
  9. Kentucky Wildcats (14 commits)
  10. Wisconsin Badgers (16 commits)
