Texas A&M’s 2024 season ended at 8-4 and 5-3 in SEC play, while the season-ending loss to rival Texas wasn’t how the Aggies wanted to welcome the Longhorns to the SEC. However, coach Mike Elko’s first season wasn’t a failure, and the future is undoubtedly bright.
This week, the focus remains on adding veteran talent through the transfer portal, which started with gaining a commitment from former Baylor/UAB quarterback Jacob Zeno, whose veteran presence will undoubtedly help one of the younger QB rooms in the country.
However, Elko is looking to add multiple wide receivers to a rotation that desperately needs speed and separation. Redshirt freshman quarterback Marcel Reed will only progress as a passer if he has competent players to throw to.
Looking ahead to next season, Texas A&M’s 2025 schedule has now been revealed outside of game times, as Elko’s transfer portal strategy will directly affect the Aggie’s success next season. Here is the entire 2025 Aggie schedule:
- August 30: Texas A&M vs. UTSA (College Station, TX)
- Sept. 6: Texas A&M vs. Utah State (College Station, TX)
- Sept. 13: Texas A&M at Notre Dame (South Bend, IN)
- Sept. 20: (Bye Week)
- Sept. 27: Texas A&M vs. Auburn (College Station, TX)
- Oct. 4: Texas A&M vs. Mississippi State (College Station, TX)

- Nov. 22: Texas A&M vs. Samford (College Station, TX)

Texas A&M will play an SEC road game against Arkansas on October 18th. This will be followed by road games against LSU and Missouri, and the season finale will be against Texas in DKR for the first time in over a decade.
However, the Aggies will have to face Notre Dame in South Bend in a game that could decide A&M’s College Football Playoff fate.
