On Wednesday, defensive lineman Aaron Bryant released the final five schools left in his recruitment.

The 6-foot-4, 306-pound lineman is rated the No. 12 overall prospect from the state of Mississippi in the 2022 recruiting class according to 247Sports composite rankings. In 2020, Bryant recorded 68 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, six sacks and four forced fumbles for Southaven High School.

The Longhorns were mentioned among his top five schools alongside Georgia, LSU, Texas A&M and Alabama. Texas defensive line coach Bo Davis and safeties coach Blake Gideon are listed as the primary recruiters for Bryant.

Bryant officially visited Ole Miss in April 2021 and 247Sports listed the Rebels as the favorite to land him. However, Ole Miss was left out of his final schools. Georgia, Texas A&M and Texas currently have/had official visits lined up with Bryant through the month of June.

Texas currently has nine commitments in the 2022 cycle, including five defensive players. If Bryant chooses to commit to Texas, he would be the third defensive line commit (Kristopher Ross, Zac Swanson).
