Texas A&M’s 2026 recruiting class is already in solid shape heading into the new year, as coach Mike Elko and his staff have landed nine commitments amid the 2024 season, including four-star DL Jordan Carter and four-star WR Aaron Gregory.
Earlier this week, it was confirmed that the Aggies are in the running for the top-ranked player in the 2026 cycle, five-star offensive tackle Jackson Cantwell. Additionally, On3’s Chad Simmons noted that Elko is set to host the second-ranked prospect in the class, five-star offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho, next month.
After signing six offensive linemen in the 2025 class, OL coach Adam Cushing has already made a signing impact both on the field and the recruiting trail. Hence, it’s no surprise that another top-ranked O-line prospect is considering the program.
In an interview with Simmons, Iheanacho announced that he will visit the Aggies on the second Saturday in January and the other programs he’ll see this winter/spring:
“I will be at Texas A&M on Jan. 11,” Iheanacho stated. “I have wanted to get to College Station for some time, so I am looking forward to it. It is a good school, a good program and that has been recruiting me hard, so I want to get out there… I hope to visit Oklahoma and Tennessee in January too. Maybe the weekends after I visit Texas A&M. Those are not set yet, but those are schools I am looking to visit for the first time soon.”
Ranked behind Nixa (MO) OT Jackson Cantwell, Immanuel Iheanacho is currently positioned as the 2nd-ranked prospect and offensive tackle in the class and the No. 1-ranked player in Maryland.
