Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko is widely respected around the country for the work ethic he instills in each program that he leads.
Ahead of a home matchup against Bowling Green this weekend at Kyle Field, Falcons head coach Scott Loeffler shared his opinion of Elko and the impact he’ll have at the helm of the Aggies (2-1, 1-0 SEC).
“I know there was talent there. He’ll make it better,” Loeffler said this week. “He’ll keep moving the needle and making it a super-disciplined group, and Texas A&M will be a top 10 team before we can even blink.”
Although Elko and Loeffler haven’t coached together before, the former has spent time with the Falcons during his career. Elko served as defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Bowling Green for five seasons from 2009 to 2013. Loeffler has been the Falcons head coach since 2019.
The Aggies host Bowling Green on Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m.
