Texas A&M wide receiver Moose Muhammad III announces his future plans

Texas A&M wide receiver Moose Muhammad III is off to the NFL after five seasons in Aggieland

The journey of Texas A&M wide receiver Moose Muhammad III has concluded after five seasons, as the Aggie graduate has announced his intention to enter the 2025 NFL Draft via Instagram, marking the end of what has been one of the more unusual college careers.

Entering the program as a highly regarded four-star prospect, the son of Carolina Panthers and Chicago Bears legend, wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad looked like a start in the making as soon as he saw extensive playing time during the 2021 season. Muhammad’s one-handed touchdown grab against New Mexico is still well remembered.

During the latter half of the 2022 season, Muhammad looked like the future No. 1 wide receiver during A&M’s season finale win vs. LSU, recording five receptions and 94 yards, including another memorable touchdown grab.

However, things dropped off over the next two seasons, as Muhammad’s playtime became sporadic, while his relationship with former Coach Jimbo Fisher was rocky from an outsider’s point of view for those who remember the sleeve issue during the Aggies’ win over UMass.

This season, Muhammad barely saw the field, finishing with six receptions, 55 yards, and two touchdowns despite being the most athletically gifted receiver on the roster outside of freshman Terry Bussey.

Still highly talented, Muhammad will likely be drafted as a project receiver with plenty of upside in the later rounds.
